Liz Glynn: Open House
New Windsor, New York
Through November 9, 2026
Using concrete, artist Liz Glynn reconstructed the couches, footstools, armchairs, and arched-window forms based on historic photographs of the New York City mansion of the politician and financier William C. Whitney that had been designed by Stanford White. At the Storm King Art Center, Open House—which was originally presented by the Public Art Fund in New York City—is placed in the natural landscape for the first time, allowing it to function as a ruin or an anachronistic architectural folly. The Century of Gehry
Porto, Portugal
Through December, 2026
Showing at the Serralves Foundation, The Century of Gehry examines 19 of the late architect’s most impressive and innovative buildings and projects, exploring his radical approach to form, material, and structure. Curated by António Choupina, together with Gehry Partners and in collaboration with the Getty, the retrospective unfolds across eight thematic chapters, following the combination of instinct and intellect in Gehry’s creative process, from the rebellious intimacy of his Santa Monica house to the titanium tides of the Guggenheim Bilbao. Through sketches and models of ongoing or unbuilt projects, his architecture comes to life as something both dynamic and human. See serralves.pt.
