An Artist’s Fourth of July Muppets Parody

To our friends of the human persuasion:

Ten years ago the Muppets made a show called The Great Moments in American History.

We really do wish that we could make a sequel. But we’re too worried about the direction this country is heading. No PBS? Banned books? ICE raids at kids’ schools?  Yikes! It’s not the time to bask in former glory. We’ve always encouraged you to express your feelings, right? Well, this song expresses our feelings about the terrible things that are happening right now. We do want you to remember this from American history today: Humans started a revolution to free themselves from a king who was taking all their money. That nasty king had sent the army out to shoot at the colonists who were his subjects.

Sound familiar? Please do something.

Yours Truly,Kermit and Miss Piggy
