8 Best Sateen Sheets for a Polished Bedscape, Tested by AD (2025)
How We Tested
We tested these sateen sheets just like the rest of our sleep content at AD Shopping: Our editors and contributors snooze on all of these sets in their own bedrooms to see if they’re worthy of a permanent spot in their linen closet.
What to Look For
Here are extra factors to think about as you’re shopping:
Material: The sateen sheets in our list are primarily made of long-staple cotton and lyocell. Both of these fabrics are great cooling sheets because of the naturally breathable fibers. But if you want something a bit softer with slightly more slip, a set made of viscose bamboo or lyocell (a derivative of eucalyptus) is a worthy buy.
Thread count: Sateen weaves can reach up to a 1,000 thread count. However, we recommend anything around a 300 or 400 thread count as the best. This thread count range is typically considered to be more breathable and soft, and anything above this can be made of a thinner yarn that’s less durable.
Care: Since our staffers have put these sheet sets through the ringer (aka: the washer and dryer) countless times, we can confirm that these are all durable. Most need to be dried on the tumble dry low setting to preserve their quality. Wash with like colors to prevent color bleeding.
